How Mail Anti-Virus in Kaspersky Lab 2011 product works with the mail client Outlook MS Office using the protocol IMAP4?

In Kaspersky Lab 2011 products when the mail is scanned by the protocol IMAP4 in the mail client Outlook MS Office 2003/2007 by default before scan all messages are downloaded on the computer locally. 

In order Mail Anti-Virus would not scan these messages on delivery but would scan them only on read, perform the following actions: 

  1. Open the mail client Outlook MS Office 2003/2007
  2. In the upper menu select Tools > Options 
  3. In the open menu go to the Kaspersky Anti-Virus tab 
  4. Uncheck Scan upon receiving 
  5. Check Scan when read 

  1. Click the Apply button 
  2. Close all windows.
