Applies to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Storage
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition can scan not only physical storage media, but also temporal mounted disks, e.g. shared cluster disks, and folders and files dynamically created on the server by applications and services.
If your protected area encompasses all server objects, these dynamic nodes are automatically included into the protected area. You can also set special protection settings for these dynamic disks, files or folders by manually creating desired virtual nodes in Kaspersky Anti-Virus console.

These virtual nodes (disks, files or folders) will exist only in
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Storage console, but not in the file system of the protected server.
If you select all subfolders and files without their parent folder to create a protected node, dynamic folders and files will not be automatically included into the protected area. You will have to create its “virtual copies” in Kaspersky Anti-Virus and add them into protected area.
