Kaspersky Lab specialists may request a Kaspersky Security Center 10 network agent connector trace file for troubleshooting the issues related to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.

In order to generate a Kaspersky Security Center 10 network agent connector trace file:

Important: make sure you are using an administrator user account.

  • Enable generation of trace files in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.

  • Restart the Kaspersky Security Center Network agent service. It may also be named Kaspersky Lab Network Agent.


  • Reproduce the situation/issue.

  • Trace file named KES.10.x.x.xxx_TIMESTAMP.AVPCon.dll.log shall be created in the %ProgramData%\Kaspersky Lab folder:

    • For Microsoft Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows Server 2008 R2 - C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab.

    • For Microsoft Windows XP / Windows Server 2003 - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab.

  • Disable generation of trace files in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.

  • Restart the Kaspersky Security Center Network agent (or, Kaspersky Lab Network Agent) service.

  • Save the trace file.

You cannot delete the trace file until you stop generating it and restart the Network agent service (or reboot the computer).
