How to update the databases in Kaspersky Security Cloud 19 for Mac
You can only update the application databases if you have a valid subscription and are connected to the Internet.
By default, a database update is started as soon as you have installed the application. After that, the databases will be updated at optimal intervals.
You can also run an update manually.
How to update the databases in the application
To run a database update, click on the application icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Update.
The update files will start to download.
How to update the databases via My Kaspersky
- Sign in to your My Kaspersky account.
- Go to the Devices section.
- Find your device and click Manage.
- Go to the Update section and click Start.
The update files will start to download.
What is downloaded during an update
The following files are downloaded and installed on your computer during an update:
- Anti-virus databases. These databases contain threat descriptions and methods used to combat them.
- Application modules. These modules eliminate application vulnerabilities, enhance existing functions and add new ones.
- New application version. By default, the application downloads and installs the new version automatically on top of the previous version. If you experience any issues while upgrading the application, download the new version from the Kaspersky website and install it manually.
