The information applies to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2016, Kaspersky Internet Security 2016, Kaspersky Total Security 2016 version 16.0.1.445 with patch G installed, as well as Kaspersky Free 2016.

If you have upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 with a 2016 product installed, the application will start the adaptation process at first system boot. Protection will be paused but for File Anti-Virus and self-defense of registry files, and the major part of graphical user interface (GUI) will be unavailable until the next reboot.

When the adaptation is completed, you will be given a prompt to restart your operating system. This being done, full-fledged protection will start automatically.
