To choose apps that will connect to the internet without using VPN:

  1. Open the Kaspersky app.
  2. Go to VPN > Settings.
  3. Tap Split Tunneling and switch on the toggle in the upper corner to turn on the feature.
  4. To find an app for which you want to disable VPN, tap the search icon and start typing the name of the app in the search bar.
  5. Tap the toggle to disable the VPN connection for this app.

You can also disable the VPN connection for individual apps by tapping the toggle next to the app in the list of apps that appears when you open Split Tunneling.

  6. To disable the VPN connection for all apps in the list, tap the Disable for all button.

If you change your Split Tunneling settings while connected to VPN, you need to reconnect to the VPN to apply the new settings.

Kaspersky VPN prioritizes Split Tunneling over Smart Protection. This means that if you disable the VPN connection for an app in Split Tunneling but also configure Smart Protection to secure that app’s connection, Kaspersky VPN ignores the Smart Protection setting and allows the app to connect without using VPN.

If both Kill Switch and Split Tunneling are on, apps with the VPN connection disabled in Split Tunneling will not use VPN. For all other apps, Kill Switch will cut the internet connection if the VPN drops.
