How to add or remove the URL Advisor browser extension for Kaspersky Internet Security 16 for Mac
Enable the Kaspersky URL Advisor browser extension to check the security of the links located on web pages. The extension checks the links using Kaspersky Security Network service, as well as the information from the databases of suspicious and phishing websites, which are downloaded during database updates of Kaspersky Internet Security.
If the extension is installed, you will see the icons with the letter K on the right of the links. This means the links are safe to follow.
How to add the extension
To add the extension to Safari, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox:
- Open the preferences in Kaspersky Internet Security 16 for Mac.
- In the Preferences window, select the Browsers tab.
- Choose the browser and click Get Extension for the extension you want to install.
- Browser window will open. To install the extension, click the corresponding button.
How to disable or remove extensions

Safari
- Open the browser.
- In the OS X menu, select Safari → Preferences.

- To disable the extension, clear the check box for Kaspersky URL Advisor in the left frame. To remove the extension, click Uninstall in the right frame.
- Restart the browser.
Google Chrome
- Open the browser.
- In the OS X menu, select Chrome → Preferences.
- Go to the Extensions tab and find URL Advisor in the list of extensions.
- To disable the extension, clear the Enabled check box. To remove the extension, click the trash icon.
- Restart the browser.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open the browser.
- In the macOS menu, select Tools → Add-ons.
- Go to the Extensions tab and find the URL Advisor in the list of extensions.
- To disable the extension, click Disable. To remove the extension, click Remove.
- Restart the browser.
