| To search Kaspersky Lab’s Support, type in a few descriptive words in the search field and click Enter or press Enter on your keyboard for a list of relevant results. You will get results that contain all the words in your query. To refine or narrow your search, simply add more words to the search terms you have already entered and search again.
If you are not sure how to use the Knowledge Base and in what section of the product to find the necessary information, use the tips to help improve your search experience:
Ask a questionSimply type a few keywords or ask a question.
Example: How to update antivirus bases, How to create a Rescue Disk
In most cases, as with the search queries "How to update antivirus bases" and "How to create a Rescue Disk", an additional search block appears which contains the FAQ page and other quick links concerning the problem. You are recommended to start with this block as it is specifically targeted to make the search more precise and conscious.
The search is not case-sensitive: “How to Create a Rescue disk” and “how to create a rescue disk” are treated the same search.
Specify search resultsYou can make search results more refined by including the product name in the description or by selecting the product from the drop-down menu.
Compare: Rescue disk and Rescue disk in Kaspersky Internet Security 2009
Each article published in the Knowledge and Error Bases is related to one or more Kaspersky Lab’s product(s). If the product name is not mentioned in the title of the article you are viewing, see the list of relevant products given immediately under the article name. This option saves your search time as you will see if the article is of help without actually opening the article.
Advanced searchIn order to search the information on other Kaspersky Lab’s portals, use Advanced search thus widening the search area. The search results for the typed query are presented on the tab which corresponds to the site’s name.
Example: compare search result for "How to upgrade" (sorted by: relevance, date of publish, number of views)
For your convenience the search results can be sorted out by relevance, date of publish and number of views (before you hit the search).
Zero or empty search results
If you get zero or empty search results, make sure your spelling is correct (you might have mistyped the word, e.g. Kapersky instead of Kaspersky) or that you have typed the search query in the right field (not in the Article ID field).
Other search areas
