Kaspersky Security Center 10 (version 10.1.249) with integrated patch C has been released on October 2, 2014.

This build can be used both for initial installation of Kaspersky Security Center and for updating earlier versions of the application without patches installed.

The installation package of Kaspersky Security Center 10 Maintenance Release 1 version 10.1.249 can be downloaded from Kaspersky Lab website.

  • Vulnerabilities CVE-2014-0160 and CVE-2014-0224 in the OpenSSL library.
  • Some interface errors.
  • Problem of initialization of the Vulnerability Assessment & Patch Management component.
  • Error of displaying policy changes on Slave Servers.
  • Full-text search malfunction (application registry, list of user accounts) after data recovery from a backup file.
  • Conection gateway error after its registration in the DMZ.

How to install Kaspersky Security Center 10

Download the installation package of Kaspersky Security Center 10 Maintenance Release 1 version 10.1.249 from Kaspersky Lab website.

Local installation

  1. Unpack the installation package of Kaspersky Security Center 10 Maintenance Release 1, run the file Setup.exe and follow the wizard's instructions.
  2. Read the End User License Agreement and, if you agreee with all its provisions, click Next. 
  3. Select an installation method, specify the network settings, select a database type and adjust its settings.
  4. Restart the computer after the application has been installed.
  5. After the Server and the Administration Console have been installed, create a remote installation task for Network Agent version 10.1.249 on the enterprise computers: a group task or a task for a set of computers. Run the task manually or set up a schedule for the task to be run. After the successful completion of this task, the version of Network Agent will be updates on managed computers.

Remote installation

Remote installation is performed via Kaspersky Security Center. To start a remote installation, create an installation package. As a configuration file, use sc10.kud.

Note. In the [setup] section of the sc10.kud configuration file, change Params into Params=/s /norestart /vEULA=1

After the installation package has been created, proceed to protection deployment.

How to upgrade Kaspersky Security Center 10

To upgrade the previous version without patches installed, follow these steps:

  1. Create a backup copy of Administration Server data using the klbackup.exe utility or the Administration Server backup tasks.
  2. Run the installation of Kaspersky Security Center 10.1.249 on a computer with Administration Server of the a previous version installed and perform te upgrade of Administration Server. During the upgrade, data related to the previous version of Administration server are retained.
  3. Create a task of remote installation of Network Agent version 10.1.249 to corporate computers: a group task or a task for specific computers. Run the task manually or upon a schedule. After the task is completed, Network Agent will be updated on client computers.
