This scenario describes how to install and perform initial configuration of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes, how to install and configure Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent, and how to install Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes administration plug-ins.
Installation and initial configuration of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes and Kaspersky Security Center consists of the following steps:
- Removing other anti-virus software
Before installing Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes, make sure that no other anti-virus software is installed on your computer. If necessary, uninstall any third-party software.
- Installation and initial configuration of the Network Agent
If you plan to manage Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes using Kaspersky Security Center, install Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent and configure its settings.
- Installing the management plug-ins for Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes
If you plan to manage Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes using Kaspersky Security Center, install the following Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes administration plug-ins depending on the administration console you want to use to interact with Kaspersky Security Center:
- MMC administration plug-in for Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes allows you to manage the application operation using Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console.
- The MMC web plug-in for Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes lets you manage the application through Kaspersky Security Center Web Console.
- Installing software packages and graphical user interface
Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes and graphical user interface are distributed in DEB and RPM packages. Install Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes and the graphical user interface, if necessary, from packages in the appropriate format.
You can install Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes using the command line or using Kaspersky Security Center by means of the Administration Console or Kaspersky Security Center Web Console.
- Completing initial setup of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes
The initial configuration must be performed in order to protect the computer.
If you installed Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes using the command line, run the initial configuration script or perform the initial configuration in automatic mode.
If you installed Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes using Kaspersky Security Center, go through the Getting started procedure and activate the application.
When installing the program or downloading and applying program updates, you need root privileges to access the files and directories of the program.
