By default, Kaspersky Small Office Security detects threats and viruses. However, there are riskware applications, which do not pose any threat by themselves but can be used for attacks.

To enable detection of legitimate programs which can be used for malicious purposes:

  1. Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the Kaspersky Small Office Security main window. To learn how to open the main application window, see this article.
  2. Go to Additional → Threats and Exclusions.
  3. Select the checkbox Detect other software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data.

Detection of riskware will be enabled.

Upon enabling riskware detection, we recommend that you do the following:

  1. Update the anti-virus databases. See this article for instructions.
  2. Run a full scan of your computer. See this article for instructions.
