- Set a security level in the network and select an action to be taken when a threat is detected.
- Configure trusted URLs and links.
How to enable or disable Web Anti-Virus
If you haven’t changed the application settings, Web Anti-Virus will be enabled by default.
We recommend that keep Web Anti-Virus enabled. Disabling the component will reduce your computer’s protection.
- Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the Kaspersky Small Office Security main window. To learn how to open the application, see this guide.
- Go to the Protection section.
- Enable or disable Web Anti-Virus using the switch on the right.
Web Anti-Virus will be enabled or disabled.
How to select an action to be taken when a threat is detected
- Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the Kaspersky Small Office Security main window. To learn how to open the application, see this guide.
- Go to the Protection section and click Web Anti-Virus.
- Select the Security level.
- High. Suitable for active Internet users. It ensures maximum protection of the computer, but reduces its operating speed. We recommend adjusting the Kaspersky Small Office Security settings to increase your computer’s speed. See this article for instructions.
- Recommended. Set by default. It ensures your computer is protected and operates at an optimal speed.
- Low. Suitable for those who rarely use the Internet. It ensures minimal protection of the computer, but does not reduce its operating speed. Before selecting this level, perform a full scan of your computer. See this article for instructions.
- Select an Action on threat detection:
- Select action automatically. The application will automatically take an action recommended by Kaspersky specialists when it detects a potential threat.
- Prompt on detection. The application will inform you about suspicious activity and prompt you to either block or allow it. This option is available if interactive protection mode is selected. Automatic protection mode is enabled by default. If you disable it, interactive protection mode will be applied. For more information about the protection modes, see the Perform recommended actions automatically section on the Online Help page.
- Block. The application will block a dangerous object and display a message about an infection.
- Allow. Web Anti-Virus will allow the object to be opened or downloaded, and then will check it for viruses.
When the application detects a potential threat, it will perform the action that you have set.
