After you create a request to Kaspersky support engineers, they may ask you to send trace files. Trace files contain records of all application’s actions, which allows the engineers to find the step at which an error occurs.

To get Kaspersky Security Center for Linux trace files, do the following:

  1. Download the server_tracing_4.zip archive and extract the files from it to the server with Kaspersky Security Center for Linux installed.
  2. Enable tracing:
chmod +x server_tracing_4.sh
./server_tracing_4.sh
  1. Reproduce the issue.
  2. Disable tracing:
rm -rf /etc/opt/kaspersky/klnagent_srv/1103/1.0.0.0/Debug /etc/opt/kaspersky/klnagent_srv/1093/1.0.0.0/Debug && sudo killall -USR1 klserver && sudo killall -USR1 klnagent
  1. Send the trace files to Kaspersky technical support.

The trace files will be located in the /tmp folder.
