Creating automatic group distribution rules

To create automatic group distribution rules, you need to first add custom fields in the company settings to use as the basis for applying the rules.

To create an automatic group distribution rule:

  1. In the web interface, select the Company settings section.
  2. In the Group rules settings section, click the Add new rule button.

    The Add new rule window opens.

  3. In the Parameter drop-down list, select the custom field that will be used as the criterion for applying the rule.
  4. In the Value field, enter the value of the custom field that, if it matches, will apply the rule to the user.
  5. In the Group drop-down list, select the group where all users who meet the conditions specified in the rule will be moved.
  6. Click the Submit button.

The rule is now created and will be displayed at the end of the rule list.

The rules are applied in the order in which they appear in the table until the first match of conditions. You can change the order in which rules are applied.
