Upgrading Kaspersky Threat Feed Service to CyberTrace

This section describes how to upgrade Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution to Kaspersky CyberTrace.

You can upgrade only the latest version of Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution. If you have an earlier version, you can perform successive upgrades to the latest version.

How to learn the version of Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution

You can find out the version of Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution as follows:

• In Windows, view the version property of the kl_feed_service.exe binary file.

  Version 2.2.0.124 refers to the latest version of Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution.

• In Linux, run the following command:

  %service_dir%/bin/kl_feed_service -v

  If it prints 2.2.0.124, the current version of Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution is the latest version.

Upgrading process

You upgrade Kaspersky Threat Feed Service for a SIEM solution to Kaspersky CyberTrace in two steps:

• Upgrade binary and other files.
• Upgrade the integration of CyberTrace with the SIEM solution.

  This step is not relevant for Log Scanner.
