Starting with version 12.8, you can use Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows as part of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent. Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent is an integrated solution that provides comprehensive protection of virtual machines against various types of information security threats, network attacks, and phishing attacks. To use this solution, you must install the application in Light Agent mode.

You can use Kaspersky Endpoint Security in Light Agent mode as part of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent starting with version 6.2.

When you start Light Agent, it establishes and maintains a connection to the virtual machine SVM (Secure Virtual Machine). A Protection Server is deployed on the SVM. The Protection Server is the Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent solution component that scans files for viruses and other malware, updates anti-virus databases and manages license keys. Light Agent sends file fragments that need scanning to the SVM. Scan results are available for all virtual machines with Light Agent installed (the SharedCash technology). Thus, the SharedCash technology increases the solution efficiency and provides a faster response to threats.

The infrastructure of the organization may contain many virtual machines with Light Agent installed and many SVMs. The Integration Server component is intended for interaction between the solution components and the virtual infrastructure. Integration Server - a component of the Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent solution that generates a list of available SVMs and transfers this data to Light Agents, participates in the detection of SVMs by Light Agents, secures the connection between Light Agents and SVMs, and performs other functions.

See the Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent Help for virtual machine requirements to run the application in the Light Agent mode.
