Errors starting Protected Browser
Errors starting Protected Browser
The following errors may occur when attempting to open Protected Browser:
- Critical updates are not installed. This error occurs if Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints detects operating system vulnerabilities caused by absence of critical updates. To fix this error, you must install all recommended updates of the operating system.
- None of the supported browsers is found. If this error occurs, verify that the computer meets all the hardware and software requirements. If the browser that is installed on the computer is not compatible with Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints, you must install one of the supported browsers.
- Cannot create the process for Protected Browser. If this error occurs, you must restart the computer and open Protected Browser again.
- SSL certificate does not match the original. If this error occurs, you should avoid using the website. Redirection to a phishing website may have occurred. This error may also occur if the website certificate has expired. If you encounter problems affecting the certificate for your encrypted connection, you are advised to contact Technical Support.
- The Kaspersky Protection extension is not installed or has been disabled. If this error occurs, make sure that the Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints application is running and that the Kaspersky Protection extension is installed and enabled in the default browser.
If this error still persists, you are advised to contact Technical Support.
- Protection against screenshots is not provided. If this error occurs, make sure that protection from screenshot capture is enabled. To fix this error, you must enable protection from screenshot capture. If this error still persists, you are advised to contact Technical Support.
- Rootkit found during Protected Browser start. If this error occurs, you are advised to stop using Protected Browser. If a rootkit is detected, you are advised to contact Technical Support.
- Untrusted module found during Protected Browser operation. This error occurs when an untrusted module is detected in the memory of a protected process. If this error occurs, you are advised to stop using Protected Browser and contact Technical Support.
- System infection detected. If this error occurs, you are advised to contact Technical Support.
