How to update payment method

When you purchase a subscription for a Kaspersky product from an authorized reseller, your payment method (such as a bank card or account number) is automatically linked to your My Kaspersky account and subscription. You can use different payment methods for each subscription, for example, one bank card for one subscription and another card for a different subscription.

We don't store or process any data about your payment methods. The data we receive from your payment provider is displayed as is.

To view payment methods linked to your account:

  1. Click the link with your email address in the upper-right corner of the page.

    A drop-down menu opens.

  2. Click the manage your account button.

    The Account settings window opens.

  3. Go to the Payment method tab.

    This opens a list of payment methods used to purchase subscriptions.

  4. Click the Details link in the payment method card to view subscriptions linked to this payment method. If there is no Details link for the payment method, then there is no linked subscription.

If we can't identify the payment method used to purchase your subscription, Unknown payment method may be displayed instead of a payment method name. This doesn't affect your subscription payment, it just means we couldn't get information from the subscription provider about the payment method used.

If the Couldn't debit funds warning is displayed, it means that the payment account of the current payment method has insufficient funds or the payment details are not valid, and the subscription will not be renewed.

To renew your subscription when this warning is displayed:

  1. Click the See payment details button in the warning or subscription panel.

    The Account settings window opens.

  2. In the Payment method tab, do one of the following:
    • Click the Retry payment button.

      If a payment confirmation window appears, review your purchase details and click the Pay now button.

      Your subscription will be renewed when the payment is processed, and the funds will be debited from your current payment method.

    • Click the Pay with another method button and follow the instructions to update your payment method.

      Your subscription will be renewed when the payment is processed, and it will be linked to the new payment method.

To update a payment method:

  1. Click the gear (icon_payment_settings) icon to open the menu.
  2. To change your payment method details, click the Change payment details button.

    This opens a window where you can edit payment details. The way you edit payment details depends on the payment provider. Follow the provided instructions.

    Changing the details of a payment method will affect all subscriptions linked to the payment method.

    If your payment method can't be identified, we recommend using a bank card instead. When you click the Change payment details button for an Unknown payment method, a form opens where you can add bank card details.

  3. To change your billing address, click the Change billing address button.

    You will be redirected to the authorized reseller’s website where you purchased your subscription. Follow the provided instructions.

If the updated payment method couldn't be saved, please check that your payment account has sufficient funds and that the details are correct and unique to your account. Then update the payment method to try again.

To delete a payment method:

  1. Click the gear (icon_payment_settings) icon on the payment method card.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. If you have no subscriptions linked to the payment method, click the Delete button in the Delete payment method pop-up window to confirm the action. This action cannot be undone.
  4. If you have subscriptions linked to the payment method, a pop-up window will list these subscriptions. Cancel each subscription by clicking Cancel subscription and turn off auto-renewal for each subscription linked to the payment method.
  5. Once you have no subscriptions linked to this payment method, delete the payment method by following steps 1-3.
