Installing Kaspersky Password Manager extensions

The Kaspersky Password Manager extension saves and inserts your logins and passwords on websites.

After you connect to My Kaspersky portal, the application prompts you to choose browsers in which you want to save and insert passwords. You can also install extensions while using Kaspersky Password Manager. If you install a new browser on the computer, Kaspersky Password Manager automatically prompts you to install an extension for it.

To install the Kaspersky Password Manager extensions:

  1. Close the browsers in which you want to use Kaspersky Password Manager extensions.
  2. Select check boxes next to the names of browsers in which you want to save and insert passwords.

By default, the application imports into the vault the vaults and passwords saved in those browsers.

  3. If you do not wish to import passwords from a browser, select Do not import passwords in the drop-down list next to the name of this browser.
  4. Click the Continue button.

The application installs extensions in the selected browsers and imports passwords from the selected browsers into the vault. Any built-in password managers of the browsers are turned off automatically.

If you didn’t import your passwords during the extension’s installation, then you may manually import passwords while using the program.

The built-in password manager of the Google Chrome browser cannot be turned off automatically. If you select this browser, a window with instructions on how to turn off the password manager opens. Follow the instructions in the window to turn off the built-in password manager manually.

If you experience problems with the extension, try reinstalling the extension or contact Technical Support.
