Data Import/Export section
Show all | Hide all
The Data Import/Export section is intended to simplify the migration of data from other applications into Kaspersky Password Manager, create backup copies of the vault, and export data for printing.
The Import from vault section lets you import data from a vault created in Kaspersky Password Manager.
Import
Clicking the Import button opens a window in which you can select a vault file created by Kaspersky Password Manager.
Selecting the file opens a window for entering the master password used in creating the vault. If you enter the correct master password, the application imports data from the vault. When the import completes, the application displays a window containing a report on the number of imported entries.
The Import from browsers section lets you import logins and passwords used to sign in to websites from browsers. Data from browsers can be imported if it has been saved in password managers embedded into browsers.
Drop-down list of browsers
In the drop-down list, you can select the browser from which you want to import data into Kaspersky Password Manager.
Import
When you click the Import button, the application starts importing accounts from the password manager embedded into the browser you selected. When the import completes, the application displays a window containing a report on the number of imported accounts.
The Import from password managers section lets you import logins and passwords that were exported in CSV format from other password management applications.
Import
Clicking the Import button opens a window in which you can select a CSV file that was exported from the supported password managers.
The Backup copy section lets you create a backup copy of the vault so that you can restore data from it when necessary.
Create a copy
Clicking the Create Copy button opens a window where you can select the folder in which the application will save a backup copy of the vault.
When creating a backup copy of the vault, Kaspersky Password Manager exports your data to two files that are stored on your device in the folder you specify. Access to the backup copy is protected by the master password that was used when the backup copy was created. Backup copy files are stored in encrypted form in the PDB and PDB-CRYPTO formats.
The Export to text file section lets you export data as text to be printed on a printer.
Export
Clicking the Export button opens a window where you can select the folder in which the application will save data exported from the vault.
The application exports data to a file in TXT format. You can print this file on a printer.
Kaspersky Password Manager does not protect data exported from the vault. You need to ensure the safety of such data on your own.
