Adding a new account

Several different accounts (login / password combinations) are often required for logging into same website or the same application. For example, you may use several mail accounts on a single mail server or multiple users of the same computer may require access to their personal pages on a social network. You can add multiple accounts (login / password combinations) for a website or application.

When loading the website, Kaspersky Password Manager prompts you to select the required account to fill in the login and password fields.

Kaspersky Password Manager automatically detects a new login when it is first used and prompts the user to add it to the website account or add the website to the list of ignored websites.

You can also add a website to the list of ignored websites in the Ignored websites section.

You can manually add a new account and edit it.

To add a new web account or application account:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. Depending on the kind of account that you want to add, select the Websites or Applications section.
  3. Select the relevant website or application. Click the Edit button.

    The right part of the window displays all data for the website or application.

  4. Click the Add button.

    In the new Account section, the Login and Password entry fields are displayed.

  5. Enter the login and password for the account that you want to add.
  6. If you want to link an account or add an account name, click the button.
  7. Specify the automatic logon settings for a web account in the Auto logon drop-down list.
    • If you want to use the account you are adding for signing in to a website automatically, select the relevant login name in the Auto logon drop-down list.
    • If you do not want Kaspersky Password Manager to automatically insert the account credentials in the login and password fields, select Off in the Auto logon drop-down list.

      In this case, you can use auto logon on a website by selecting the login you added from the context menu of the application icon or the button.

  8. In the lower part of the window, click the Done button.

The new account is now added for the website or application.
