Switching to the free version

If your license for the Premium version of Kaspersky Password Manager has expired, the application prompts you to renew the license or to switch to the free version of Kaspersky Password Manager.

In the free version of the application, the number of accounts and identities that you can use is limited. If you have more than 15 accounts or more than one identity, when you switch to the free version you will need to select the accounts and identities that you want to keep available in the free version. Other accounts and identities are saved and remain available in read-only mode but unavailable for copying or autofill and will not be synchronized across your devices.

To select the accounts and identity that you want to keep available when switching to the free version of Kaspersky Password Manager:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower part of the window, click the License expired button.
  3. In the window that opens, click the Use free version button.
  4. In the Select active accounts window, select the 15 web accounts and application accounts that you want to use with the free version of Kaspersky Password Manager and click Continue.
  5. In the Select active identities window, select one identity that you want to use with the free version of Kaspersky Password Manager.
  6. Click the Finish button.
