Managing Kaspersky Password Manager extensions

Kaspersky Password Manager has extensions that are embedded into browsers to support automatic login and autofill of login and password entry fields on websites. By default, extensions are installed when Kaspersky Password Manager is started for the first time. You can manually install a new browser extension or remove an existing one. The browser extension provides access to Kaspersky Password Manager functions via the browser interface.

To install the browser extension:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower part of the window, click the button.
  3. In the application tray menu, select the Settings item.

    The application settings window opens.

  4. In the left part of the window, select the Browser section.
  5. In the right part of the window, click the Install extension button next to the name of the browser whose extension you want to install.

The extension of the selected browser is now installed.

Microsoft Internet Explorer browser extension is installed for all accounts of device users. To stop using Microsoft Internet Explorer browser extension, you can disable it. This change will not affect the accounts of other device users.

The extension can be disabled only in the web browser settings window.

To remove an extension:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower part of the window, click the button.
  3. In the application tray menu, select the Settings item.

    The application settings window opens.

  4. In the left part of the window, select the Browser section.
  5. In the right part of the window, click the button next to the name of the browser whose extension you want to delete.

The extension of the selected browser is deleted.

Kaspersky Password Manager detects installation of new browsers on your device and automatically prompts you to install the extension in each new browser.

The Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Yandex Browser browsers are ready for installation of the Kaspersky Password Manager extension as soon as they are installed on the device.

The Mozilla Firefox browser is ready for installation of the Kaspersky Password Manager extension after its first startup on the device.
