How to configure the application to automatically change your virtual location
You can configure the application's actions to take upon change of virtual location if Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security is installed and activated on your computer.
To configure the application to take an action upon change of virtual location:
- Open the main application window.
- In the main application window, click the button
. - Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.
The Settings window opens.
- Click the Configure rules for websites button.
The Rules for connection to websites window opens.
- Select the country through which you want to establish a secure connection for websites of a specific category.
- Select the country through which you want to establish a secure connection for specific websites.
- In the If the current location differs from the specified location drop-down list, specify which action the application must take if you switch between websites or website categories for which different virtual locations are configured:
- Do not change location. If you switch between websites or website categories for which different virtual locations are configured, the application does not change your virtual location.
- Ask. The application shows a notification in which you can specify whether or not to change the virtual location.
- Change location. The application changes the virtual location based on which country you specified for the website or website category. For example, you specified that a secure connection must be enabled through one country for websites in the "Banking websites" category, but you specified a different country for websites in the "Social networks" category. If you have a secure connection enabled and you switch from a website in the "Banking websites" category to a website in the "Social networks" category, the application will change your virtual location to the one specified for the "Social networks" category.
