Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business versions 4.0, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Home versions 5.0, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 have reached end of life.
After December 01, 2024 we will completely stop updates for these product versions.
If you are still using these versions, you have the following options:
- Recommended option: get premium version of Kaspersky products.
The migration from Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool to premium products is fully automated. - Upgrade to the latest Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business 6.6 or to the latest Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Home 6.6.
You will find the link to KART 6.6 in your product or on Kaspersky website. - Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business 4.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Home 5.0 may update automatically starting from October 28, 2024.
Migration procedure
If you migrate from Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business 4.0, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 version or Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Home 5.0, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 version, the following settings will be migrated automatically:
- Blocked apps
- Trusted apps
- Blocked machines
- Trusted machines
- Proxy server settings
- Report schedule
- E-mail settings:
- Name
- Position
- Admin's e-mail
- SMTP adress
- SMTP Port
- Type of encrypted connection for sending emails
- Login for authentication on the SMTP server
- Password for authentication on the SMTP server
- Password protection
- Shared folders protection
- Types of object to detect
- Exploit prevention
- PPCSID
- Application Log
- Reports (date and time of report creation, type of detect, path to the object, path to threat, name of detected object, result of object processing, name of report).
You can update without migrating current settings – just install KART 6.6 version with the following command line key:
MIGRATE_SETTINGS=0
In GUI installation, this option is not supported.
