Password-protect the application settings

To unlock the application settings:

1. Open the main application window.
2. In the application menu, select Settings.
3. Go to the Password section.
4. In the upper part of the window, click the Enter the password link.
5. Enter your password and click the Confirm button.

   This unlocks only the currently opened section of the settings. If you want to unlock all the settings, select the Remember for this session checkbox. The application will not prompt you for your password until it is restarted or the Windows user session is reset.

6. Flip the Password-protect settings toggle switch off.
7. Click the Save button.

   The application settings are unlocked. The password is reset.

To change the admin password:

1. Open the main application window.
2. In the application menu, select Settings.
3. Go to the Password section.
4. In the upper part of the window, click the Enter the password link.
5. Enter your password and click the Confirm button.

   This unlocks only the currently opened section of the settings. If you want to unlock all the settings, select the Remember for this session checkbox. The application will not prompt you for your password until it is restarted or the Windows user session is reset.

6. Enter and re-enter a new password.
7. Click the Save button.

   The application settings are locked with a new password.

To reset the password:

1. Restart the computer in Safe Mode.
2. Log in as an administrator.
3. Open the registry and find the SettingsProtectionKey key.
4. Delete the key.

   The password is reset. The settings are unlocked.
