Error "Activation code corresponds to another application” or “The activation code does not apply to this application”

When activating a Kaspersky application, you may get the error "Activation code corresponds to another application” or “The activation code does not apply to this application”.
Cause
You are entering an activation code intended for another application. For example, you have Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Kaspersky Premium installed, but you are trying to activate it with an activation code for Kaspersky Total Security.
Solution for Kaspersky Standard, Plus, Premium
- Make sure that you activate an application with an activation code intended for this application.
- Submit a request to Kaspersky Customer Service. Include in your request:
- Activation code
- A screenshot of the main window of the application you tried to activate.
Solution for Kaspersky Internet Security, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Total Security
The activation code you entered has already been activated, and the license validity period has started.
If the application in the Corresponding application line:
- is the one you intend to use, click Install and activate the new application now. The application will be installed on your computer and activated with the code you have entered.
- is not the one you have bought and intend to use, click Switch to the new application later. Then buy an activation code for the needed application and activate it. Learn more about switching from one Kaspersky application to another in this article.
- does not correspond to the application you have installed, submit a request to Kaspersky Customer Service. Include in your request:

- A screenshot of the main window of the application you tried to activate.
