1. Open Kaspersky Security Center and go to Advanced → Remote installation → Installation packages.
2. Click Create installation package.
   You have to create separate patch installation packages for the x64 and x86 operating systems.

3. Select Create installation package for specified executable file.

4. Enter a name for the package and click Next.

5. Click Browse and specify the path to the patch executable file: extract the files from the archive downloaded from Kaspersky CompanyAccount and select the .MSP file format.
6. In the Executable file launch settings (optional) field, enter:
   /norestart UNLOCK_PASSWORD=<пароль> /qn
   Use the UNLOCK_PASSWORD parameter only if a password has been set for Kaspersky Security for Windows Server. Remove this parameter if no password has been set.
   We recommend that you change the password for managing Kaspersky Security for Windows Server to a temporary one during patch installation.
7. Click Next.

8. Click Finish to complete the wizard.

Before installing remotely via Kaspersky Security Center, create an installation package.

1. In the Administration Console, go to Advanced → Remote installation → Installation packages.
2. In the context menu of the created package, select Install application.

3. Choose one of the options:
   • Install on group of managed devices, if you have configured administration groups.
   • Select devices for installation, if you want to install the patch on specific computers.

4. Select devices or groups of devices on which the patches will be installed and click Next.

5. Keep the default settings and click Next.

6. Select Do not restart device and click Next.

7. Select an account for accessing the devices and click Next.
8. Click Next to start the installation.
9. Click Finish.

You can monitor the patch installation progress in the Tasks window.

How to check locally

1. In the Windows toolbar, right-click the icon of Kaspersky Security for Windows Server and select About the application.

2. In the window that opens, check information about the patch that was installed in the Installed updates field.

How to check in Kaspersky Security Center

1. Open the Administration Console and go to the Reports tab.
2. Open the properties of the Kaspersky Lab software versions report and go to Detail fields.
3. Add the Updates installed column and click OK.
4. Update the report.
5. Check information about the installed patch for Kaspersky Security for Windows Server in the Updates installed column.

1. Disable the password for managing Kaspersky Security for Windows Server when removing a patch.
2. On the client device, open Control Panel → Programs and Features.
3. Enable the display of installed updates.
4. Select the patch from the list and click Uninstall.
5. Enable the password for managing Kaspersky Security for Windows Server

1. Make sure that the version of the patch installation package matches the version of the application installed on the device and the OS architecture (x86/x64).
2. Check if the Network Agent is correctly connected to the Administration Server.
3. Make sure there are no hardware issues or malfunctions in the operating system on the device.

If the issue persists, collect diagnostic data and submit a request to Kaspersky Technical Support via Kaspersky CompanyAccount. Additionally, please attach the patch installation log (if available) to your request:

• When installing a patch locally, the installation logs are automatically saved as an MSI*.LOG file to the %temp% folder of the current user.
• When installing a patch remotely via Kaspersky Security Center, the installation logs are automatically saved as a $msisetup-*.txt file in the %windir%\temp folder.

Also, please attach installation trace files when installing a patch remotely.
