The automatic stages of primary installation are performed in the following order:

  1. Checking installation setup.

At this stage the primary installation settings are checked.

  2. Creating databases.

At this stage, the following databases are created in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus database directory:

    • Setup log (kavsetuplog.nsf).
    • Control Center (kavcontrolcenter.nsf).
    • Event log and statistics (kaveventslog.nsf).
    • Quarantine (kavquarantine.nsf).
    • Service database of Kaspersky Anti-Virus (kavlocale.nsf).

Each database is signed by the account of the server on which the installation is being performed.

An Access Control List (ACL) is generated for each database as soon as it is created. The groups of users and servers specified during primary installation configuration are used to generate the ACL.

Groups of users and servers are generated at the Preparing to install stage.

The ACL also include the Default and Anonymous records. They are assigned the No Access level.

  3. Configuring.

At this stage a profile for the protected server is generated in the Control Center database.

  4. Copying service files.

At this stage the libraries, executable files and initial set of anti-virus databases are built up.

  5. Generating environment variables.

At this stage the paths to the Lotus Notes databases for Kaspersky Anti-Virus are automatically configured.

If automatic stages of Kaspersky Anti-Virus installation have been completed successfully, the Installation completed successfully message appears in the lower part of the Setup Wizard window.
