To delete Kaspersky Anti-Virus from one of the servers in a distributed deployment model, do the following:

  1. Open the installation database via the Lotus Notes client or web browser.

This opens the window of the Removal Wizard. The window of the Removal Wizard shows the details of the system, the configured settings, and the list of application removal stages.

  2. If the Lotus Notes client is used to remove the application, clear the Deleting from the last server in configuration check box in the System information section. The list of sections in the window of the Removal Wizard changes.
  3. In the Primary installation server field, specify the server on which the replicas of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus databases are stored. To do so, click the icon_choice button to the right of the entry field and select a server from the Address book of the Lotus Domino server or enter the server name manually.
  4. In the Databases directory for primary installation server field, enter the path to the directory containing the Lotus Notes databases for Kaspersky Anti-Virus on the server selected at the previous step. The path is specified relative to the database directory of the Domino server. The field's default value is the path to the kavdatabases directory.
  5. Click the Delete button. Confirm the reboot of the Lotus Domino server in the prompt window.

Wait for the Removal Wizard to perform the first step of application removal: Generating environment variables. At this stage, the following operations are performed automatically:

On completion of the first stage of removal, the Lotus Domino server is rebooted automatically.

  6. When the server has rebooted, click the Delete button in the window of the Removal Wizard.

Wait for the Removal Wizard to complete subsequent application removal stages. On completion of each stage, the icon_ok icon is displayed next to the stage name if the stage has been completed successfully, or the icon_bad icon if the stage returned an error.

  7. On completion of all removal stages, close the window of the Removal Wizard.

If any automatic stage of application removal returns an error, the application removal process is aborted. In this case, close the window of the Removal Wizard and retry removing the application.
