Import and export data

1. Open the main application window.
2. Click in the lower part of the main application window.
3. In the opened menu, click Settings.

   The application settings open.

4. Select the Import/Export section.
5. In the Import from vault section, click Import.
6. In the window that opens, specify the file you want to import your data from.
7. Click Open.
8. In the window that opens, enter the main password to access the contents of the file being imported.
9. Click OK.

Data from the selected file will be copied to your vault. When the import is completed, the application displays a report about the imported data.

4. Select the Import/Export section.
5. In the Import from browser section, select the browser you want to import data from.
6. Click Import.

Kaspersky Password Manager supports importing logins and passwords from the following browsers:

• Google Chrome (version 106 or later)
• Mozilla Firefox (version 55 or later)
• Microsoft Edge based on Chromium (version 106 or later)
• Yandex.Browser (version 106 or later)

All credentials saved in the selected browser's built-in password manager will be copied to your vault. When the import is completed, the application displays a report about the imported data.

When importing data from Yandex.Browser, you may get an error that the main password that you have specified is incorrect, but it is correct. This can happen if Kaspersky Password Manager is unable to decrypt the application database due to database corruption, or if you are using outdated version of the browser or application.

This issue can be resolved if you perform any or all of the following actions:

• Update Kaspersky Password Manager
• Reinstall the browser with a full data cleanup if password sync is enabled in Kaspersky Password Manager
• Update the browser

If the suggested actions do not work and the error persists, please contact Customer Service.

4. Select the Import/Export section.
5. In the Import from password managers section, click Import.
6. In the window that opens, specify the CSV file you want to import data from.

   Kaspersky Password Manager imports only web accounts from the CSV (UTF-8) file with the following parameters: URL, username, password, name. The URL parameter is mandatory, other parameters are optional.

   Example of the CSV file: url,username,password,name,extra https://site1.com,login1,password1,sitename1, https://site2.com,,password2,sitename2, https://site3.com,login3,,sitename3, https://site4.com,,,sitename4, https://site5.com,,,,

   Kaspersky Password Manager supports the ability to import from CSV files exported from the latest version of the supported password managers.

7. Click Open.

Passwords will be copied from the selected file to your vault. When the import is completed, the application displays a report about the imported data. Kaspersky Password Manager supports importing logins and passwords from the latest versions of the following applications that were available when Kaspersky Password Manager was released: LastPass, KeePass, Dashlane, 1Password, and Norton Identity Safe 2014 (included in the latest version of Norton Security).

Kaspersky Password Manager cannot ensure the integrity and completeness of data imported from other password management applications.

1. Open the main application window.
2. Click in the lower part of the main application window.
3. In the opened menu, click Settings.

   The application settings open.

4. Select the Import/Export section.
5. In the Export to text file section, click Export.
6. In the window that opens, specify the file name and folder you want to save the file.
7. Click OK.

The application will copy your notes and credentials to a TXT file.

Kaspersky Password Manager doesn't protect the TXT file with the exported data. You must protect the exported data on your own.

If you have a My Kaspersky account, you can export your data from Kaspersky Password Manager cloud storage:

1. Sign in to My Kaspersky.
2. Go to the Passwords section.
3. Enter your main password and click the Unlock storage button.
4. In the upper-right part of the window, click the More actions button.
5. Select the Export option in the drop-down menu.
6. In the message that opens, click Continue if you accept the risks associated with this action. The application will export your data to a TXT file.
