How to use Parental Control in Kaspersky Internet Security 18 for Mac

The Parental Control component of Kaspersky Internet Security 18 for Maс allows you to control and limit the following aspects of the computer use for other user accounts:
- Internet access time.
- Downloading files from the Internet depending on their category.
- Access to websites depending on their content (for example, only for adults).
- Communication with specified contacts in social networks (Facebook, Yahoo, Twitter).
- Sending of personal data.
How to enable or disable Parental Control
Parental Control becomes available upon activation of Kaspersky Internet Security 18 for Mac. For the guide on how to activate the application, see this article.
To enable or disable Parental Control:
- In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security 18 for Mac, click Parental Control.
- For the guide on opening the application window, please refer to this article.
- Select the user account and click Enable Parental Control or Disable Parental Control.
How to limit the Internet access
- In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security 18 for Mac, click Parental Control.

- Select the user account.
- Go to Time Control and click Enable.
- To limit the use of the Internet per day, select the check box Maximum time on Internet and select the hours.
- To restrict Internet access on specific hours on weekdays or weekends, select the check box Allow Internet use based on day of week and set time periods.
How to limit access to websites
With Parental Control, you can block access to certain categories of websites.
For example, you can block all websites belonging to such categories as Violence or Weapons. Upon attempts to open the blocked website, the user will see the following error message:
To limit access to websites:
- In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security 18 for Mac, click Parental Control.

- Select the user account.
- Go to Web Control and click Enable.
- To limit access to some categories of websites, select these categories from the list.
- To form the list of blocked websites:
- Click Add Web Addresses.
- Select the check box Always block these websites.
- Click .
- Enter the website address.
- Click Close.
