After installing Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes using the command line, perform the initial application setup by running the initial setup script. The initial configuration script is included in the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes distribution kit.
Performing the initial setup after installing the application using the command line is required to enable the protection of the client device.
To start Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes initial setup script, execute the following command:
# /opt/kaspersky/kics/bin/kics-setup.pl
The initial setup script must be run with root privileges after installation of the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes package is finished. The script requests the values of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Linux Nodes settings step-by-step. Script execution completion and the console release indicate that the initial application setup is completed.
To check the return code, execute the following command:
echo $?
If the command returns code 0, the initial application setup is finished successfully.
