Configuring receipt of Veeam Backup & Replication events

KUMA allows you to monitor the events of the Veeam Backup & Replication system (version 12.1) received via the syslog protocol.

Configuring the receipt of Veeam Backup & Replication events involves the following steps:

1. Configuring the export of Veeam Backup & Replication events
2. Creating a KUMA collector for Veeam Backup & Replication events

   When creating a collector in the KUMA web interface, at the Transport step, you need to specify the type of connector that is used when configuring event export. To receive Veeam Backup & Replication events, at the Event parsing step, select the [OOTB] Veeam Software Veeam Backup & Replication syslog normalizer.

3. Installing a collector in a KUMA network infrastructure
4. Verifying receipt of Veeam Backup & Replication events in the KUMA collector

   You can verify that the receipt of events from Veeam Backup & Replication is configured correctly by searching for related events in the KUMA web interface.
