Activating the subscription for Kaspersky app
To use all functions of the app, you can start a trial or buy and activate the subscription for Kaspersky app.
You must have an internet connection to buy and activate the subscription.
If you already have a subscription, you can do one of the following to activate it:
- Use a subscription detected for your My Kaspersky account.
You must connect the app to My Kaspersky to use this option.
- Enter an activation codereceived from your service provider or when buying a subscription.
An activation code is a unique sequence of 20 letters and numerals in the format of xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx. You can use the activation code to activate the premium version of Kaspersky app.
The subscription period starts on the date when the activation code is used for the first time on a device.
If you lose or accidentally delete your activation code after activating the app, contact Kaspersky Customer Service.
Some subscriptions purchased from online stores need to be activated before you can use them. If you didn't do that right after your purchase, you'll receive a message asking you to activate it. To do so, tap the Activate on website button and enter your payment details to finish the activation on the website (available only in Spanish).
You can activate the subscription on first startup or at any time afterward.
We recommend that you sign in to My Kaspersky before purchasing or renewing your subscription. If you are signed in to your My Kaspersky account, the app can check if there is a purchased subscription that you can use to activate the app.
Activate the app using a subscription detected for your My Kaspersky account
- Open Kaspersky app.
- On the bottom tab bar, tap Profile.
- Tap Let's go in the section with your current license.
- Tap I have a subscription.
- Sign in to your My Kaspersky account.
If a subscription that can be used to activate the app has been found for your My Kaspersky account, Kaspersky app prompts you to use it for activation.
Once the subscription has been successfully activated, the app will notify you and display the subscription information.
Activate the subscription using an activation code
- Open Kaspersky app.
- On the bottom tab bar, tap Profile.
- Tap Let's go in the section with your current license.
- Tap I have a subscription.
- Tap Enter the activation code.
- Enter your activation code and tap Next.
Once the subscription has been successfully activated, the app will notify you and display the subscription information.
If you purchased a discounted activation code for subscription renewal, you can select the I have an old activation code checkbox and enter the old code on the next screen (selected regions only).
While using the app under a subscription, you can add another activation code on My Kaspersky before the current subscription expires or is cancelled or revoked. Note that it's not possible to add another activation code in the Kaspersky app before the previous one expires.
If you want to use an activation code different from the one currently used in the Kaspersky app, you need to re-install the app to enter the new code. This doesn’t apply to renewal codes.
