Managing services

Services are combinations of network protocols and ports, which can be used in Kaspersky NGFW rules to simplify configuration.

You can use services to create security rules, decryption rules, and local event filters. The Services section contains all user-added combinations of source and destination ports and protocols.

The table of services is displayed in the Application & Services → NGFW → Objects → Services section.

The table contains the following information about services:

• Name is the unique name of the service.
• Description is an arbitrary description. This setting is optional.
• Value is an added protocol with configured settings. If there is more than one protocol, a link is displayed, which you can click to open the service editing window.
