Managing OID views

An OID (Object ID) is a unique object identifier that tells where to look for the relevant information on the event source. An OID is a string made up of numbers, such as "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1". You can use the OID to track certain parameters of a device. You can find the full tree of OIDs used on devices in the KL-NGFW-MIB.txt file.

You can restrict the list of events for which the device sends notifications. To do so, you need to configure OID views and include these in the SNMP profile. If you do not restrict the list of objects, the full list is used.
