Managing OID views

An OID (Object ID) is a unique object identifier that tells where to look for the relevant information on the event source. An OID is a string made up of numbers, such as "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1". You can use the OID to track certain parameters of a device. You can find the full tree of OIDs used on devices in the KL-NGFW-MIB.txt file.

You can restrict the list of events for which the device sends notifications. To do so, you need to configure OID views and include these in the SNMP profile. If you do not restrict the list of objects, the full list is used.

You can view the table of OID views in a device template or on a Kaspersky NGFW device:

• To view the table of SNMP profiles in a device template, select the Network templates tab in the menu, click a device template, and select the SNMP section.
• To view the table of SNMP profiles on a Kaspersky NGFW device, go to the Devices menu section, click a Kaspersky NGFW device, and select the SNMP section.

The table of OID views is displayed on the Views tab.

The table contains the following information about OID views:

• Name is the unique name of the OID view.
• Subtrees is the number of subtrees included in the OID view.
