Adding a device

To add a device:

  1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
  2. Select the Devices tab.
  3. Click the Add button in the upper part of the table.

    This opens the window in which you can add a device.

  4. Specify the settings in the relevant sections as necessary.
    • Name is the name of the device.
    • Description is a description of the device. Optional setting.
    • DPID is the unique ID of the device generated based on the MAC address of the management interface of the device.
    • Network template is a previously created network template to be applied to the device when the device is added.
  5. Click Add.

The device is added and registered with the orchestrator. After a certain delay, the registered device appears in the table of devices. You can click the Refresh button if the created device does not appear in the table immediately.
