Enable notifications

To enable notifications on the safety status of downloaded files:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower left corner of the main window, select Settings settings_icon.

    The Settings list opens.

  3. Switch to the Notifications section.
  4. Check the Notifications on the safety of downloaded files check box.

    The application will show notifications on the safety of .exe files in the Downloads folder.

To enable email reports:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower left corner of the main window, select Settings settings_icon.

    The Settings list opens.

  3. Switch to the Notifications section.
  4. Select the Email reports check box.

After that you can configure the report schedule:

  1. Select By schedule and specify how often reports should be sent:
    • Every month. You can specify the day of the month and the time to send the report.

      Please keep in mind that the number of days differs from month to month. For example, if you select the 30th day of the month, delivery of reports in February will be unavailable.

    • Every week. You can specify the day of the week and the time to send the report.
    • Every day. You can specify the time to send the report.
    • Manually. Automatic reports are disabled.

To receive an email report once a threat is detected, select When threat is detected check box.

To send a report manually:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. On the dashboard, click Send email report.

    The report is sent to the administrator.

In the Email settings section, specify the following email parameters:

  • Your email address.
  • Administrator's email address.
  • SMTP server address or name.
  • SMTP server port.
  1. If necessary, specify the name and position of the user.
  2. In the Connection security drop-down list, select the type of encrypted connection.
  3. If a user name and password must be specified when connecting to the mail server, select the Use authentication check box and specify the user name and password to connect to the mail server.

    After you save changes, you can send a test message to check if the settings have been configured correctly.

Kaspersky doesn't receive any of this data. It is only used to generate and send reports to your system administrator.

To check the email settings:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower left corner of the main window, select Settings settings_icon.

    The Settings list opens.

  3. Switch to the Notifications section.

    At the bottom of the window, click Send test message.

    The application will send a test message to verify that the email settings are configured correctly.

When you exit the Settings section, you will be prompted to save the changes or leave the section without saving. Don't forget to save the changes if you want them to apply.
