This article concerns:
- Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform version 4.0
- Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform version 4.1
How to create a report with diagnostic data
For processing requests related to Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform, a Kaspersky technical support specialist may ask you to attach a diagnostic report from the Central Node component. The report will collect all basic diagnostic information from a computer running a Unix-based operating system.
To create the report:
- Open the semi graphical interface in Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform and select System administration.
You can open the semi graphical interface locally on the Central Node server or via SSH protocol using the login admin.
- Select Download system logs.
- Click New.
Diagnostic data collection will start. The progress will be displayed on the console.
The information will be collected into the /var/opt/kaspersky/apt/files/ folder.
How to download the report with diagnostic data
To download the report, you will need an SCP client. We recommend using the pscp console utility which you can download on PuTTY utilities download page.
If the PuTTY package has been installed on the computer, the pscp utility must already be present in your operating system. Otherwise you can download a separate pscp executable file.
To download the report:
- Open the command line.
- Change the (cd) directory to the folder where the pscp executable file is located. It can be found at C:\Program Files\PuTTY by default.
- Download the Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform report using the following command:
pscp.exe -scp admin@<kata_ip>:<filename> <path to local folder>
where:
- <kata_ip> — IP-address of Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform.
- <filename> — name of the report (file) which needs to be downloaded. You can copy the file name from the list of the available collect reports via PuTTY:
- <path to local folder> — path to a local directory where the downloaded report should be saved. You can use %UserProfile%\Desktop as a path to a current user’s desktop or any other option.

How to delete the report with diagnostic data
Once the report is loaded onto a local computer, we recommend to delete it from Central Node of Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform to free up disk space. To remove:
- a separate report – select the necessary one in the list of the available collect reports and tap Enter
- all reports at once – enter support mode in interactive menu and run:
