Configuration management

In the Configuration management block, a user can edit configuration of Protected Resources.
The following display modes of configuration are available:
- RUNNING – Customer's connection configuration applied in production environment.
- CANDIDATE – Customer's connection configuration in the state of editing and not applied in production environment. It appears when a user makes changes in the Settings block.
- DIFF – Customer's connection display mode which highlights the differences between CANDIDATE configuration and RUNNING configuration.
In the Configuration management block interface, the following elements are presented:
- button – view full configuration.
- buttons – switch between RUNNING, CANDIDATE and DIFF display modes of configuration.
- Status of changes made in the configuration. The following statuses are possible:
- – a user made changes in the configuration which need to be applied or canceled.
- – a user made changes in the configuration which are being applied in the production environment.
- – all changes in the configuration are applied, settings are fully synchronized.
- List of the resource filtering profiles.
When you click on a filtering profile, the servers and upstreams, that belong to it, appear.
A user can add server blocks with the button and delete server block with the button. It is impossible to add or delete upstream blocks.
When you click on a server/upstream, a menu of viewing and editing of the corresponding server/upstream opens.
In the interface of the menu, the following elements are presented:
- Settings – block of configuration settings. To delete a directive, click the button next to the corresponding directive.
- Add directive – adding new directive to the Settings block. To add a directive, follow these steps:
- Select the required directive from the list.
- Select the directive parameter, enter the value and select the measurement unit (if these fields are available).
- Click Add. The new directive will be added to the Settings block.
When a user changes configuration settings or adds/deletes a directive, a CANDIDATE configuration appears.
- Certificate – information about certificate. To replace the certificate, click the button. The certificate replacement window opens.
Interface of the window is similar to the interface of the TLS section. For more information, see Replacing a certificate section.
- Block for viewing part of the configuration.
- buttons – switch between RUNNING, CANDIDATE and DIFF display modes of configuration.
When the configuration settings are changed and CANDIDATE configuration appears, the following actions are available:
- Save – apply CANDIDATE configuration in the production environment.
- Reset changes – delete CANDIDATE configuration.
- Download full config – download configuration of the resource.
