You can upgrade Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 for Linux to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 1 for Linux locally by performing the procedure below.

A restart of the operating system or application may be required after the upgrade procedure is complete.

To upgrade the application:

  1. Run the required Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 1 for Linux package installation:
    • RPM package:

      # rpm -U --replacefiles --replacepkgs <rpm package name>.rpm

    • DEB package:

      # dpkg -i <deb package name>.deb

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 for Linux settings and event log are exported.

  2. Run the post-installation configuration script.

The post-installation configuration script requests Kaspersky Endpoint Security parameter values step-by-step.

Accepting the End User License Agreement (EULA) and the Privacy Policy is mandatory. If you do not accept the EULA and the Privacy Policy, the application terminates the upgrade process.

The application settings and event log are transferred to the upgraded application version; new settings are set to the default values. When the application settings are transferred, the application stops.

  3. If necessary, restart the operating system or the application.

If an error occurred during the application upgrade procedure, the application cannot be automatically restored to the previous version. An error message is displayed.

If the transfer of application settings fails for any reason, the application is set to the default values.
