Compatibility of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows with CryptoPro CSP

Issue

If CryptoPro CSP is installed on a workstation, the following errors may occur:

  • Error installing or upgrading Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows. Error codes and messages may be different, for example: “Error 1316. The specified account already exists”. 
  • Incorrect work of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows. GUI of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows missing immediately after the installation.

Solution

In case of errors during installation or upgrade of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows:

  1. Upgrade CryptoPro CSP to the latest version.
If upgrade is not possible, uninstall it temporarily until you install or upgrade Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Try installing or upgrading Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows once again.
  3. Install CryptoPro CSP if you have uninstalled it earlier.

In case of issues with functioning of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows:

  1. Upgrade CryptoPro CSP to the latest version. 
If upgrade is not possible, uninstall it.
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Uninstall Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.
  3. Install Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows once again.
  4. Install CryptoPro CSP if you have uninstalled it earlier.
