Error “Policy cannot be applied” in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows

When encrypting, you can encounter the “Policy cannot be applied” error with the description “Hard drives encrypted with BitLocker Drive Encryption are detected”. This error appears if the devices you try to encrypt are protected with Windows BitLocker encryption.

To find out if the disks on your workstation are encrypted:

  1. Open the command line as an administrator.
  2. Run the command:
manage-bde –status
  1. Check the value of the Percentage Encrypted parameter.
