Issue

When removing the MMC administration plug-in for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.3 for Linux, the information about other installed versions of the plug-in is deleted.

The issue does not affect already created policies and tasks, and does not reduce the security level of managed devices.

Cause

For managing different versions of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Linux of via Kaspersky Security Center you need the administration plug-ins of the respective versions. The MMC administration plug-in removal may be required for the subsequent installation of its new version with improvements or due to the end of support of the application version 11.3.

Solution

Remove and then reinstall the previous versions of the MMC administration plug-in for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Linux. For information on how to remove the administration plug-in via Kaspersky Security Center, see the article.

Before removing the Kaspersky Endpoint Security administration plug-in, make sure you have the installation packages for other versions of the plug-in on your managed device.
