Restoring files from Quarantine

By default, Kaspersky Endpoint Security restores files to their original folder. If the destination folder has been deleted or the user does not have access rights to that folder, the application places the file in the %DataRoot%\QB\Restored folder. Then you must manually move the file to the destination folder.

To restore files from Quarantine:

  1. In the main window of the Web Console, select OperationsRepositoriesQuarantine.
  2. This opens the list of files in Quarantine; in that list, select the files that you want to restore and click Restore.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security restores the file. If the destination folder already has a file with the same name, the application cancels the restoration of the file. For EDR Optimum and EDR Expert solutions, the application deletes the file after restoration. For other solutions, the applications keeps a copy of the file in Quarantine.
