Proxy server settings

You can configure settings of the proxy server used for Internet access of users of client computers. Kaspersky Endpoint Security uses these settings for certain protection components, including updating databases and application modules.

Description

Do not use proxy server

If this option is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security connects to Kaspersky Security Network services, update servers, and activation servers directly, without using a proxy server.

Use specified proxy server settings

If this option is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security uses the custom proxy server settings to connect to Kaspersky Security Network services, update servers, and activation servers.

Address

Entry field for the IP address or domain name of the proxy server.

This field is available if the Use specified proxy server settings option has been selected.

Port

Entry fields for the port of the proxy server.

This field is available if the Use specified proxy server settings option has been selected.

Default value: 3128.

Use user name and password

This check box enables or disables proxy server authentication using a user name and password.

This check box is available if the Use specified proxy server settings option has been selected.

This check box is cleared by default.

User name

Entry field for the user name used for proxy server authentication.

The entry field is available if the Use user name and password check box is selected.

Password

Entry field for entering the user password for proxy server authentication.

The entry field is active when the Use user name and password check box is selected.

Clicking the Show button causes the user password to be displayed in clear text in the Password field.

The button is available if the Use user name and password check box is selected.

By default, the user password is hidden and is displayed as asterisks.

Use Kaspersky Security Center as proxy server for activation

This check box enables or disables use of Kaspersky Security Center as a proxy server for the application activation.

If this check box is selected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security uses Kaspersky Security Center as a proxy server for the application activation.

This check box is cleared by default.
