Patch O

Patch O for Kaspersky Internet Security version 18.0.0.405 was released on August 15, 2022.

Patch O adds the support of the RFC9218 standard for HTTP/2. This will help avoid issues opening some websites. 

To install patch O:

1. Run the database update in Kaspersky Internet Security. For instructions, see this article. 
2. When the update is complete, restart your PC.

Patch O will be installed. To check if the patch was installed, open the application and click the Support icon in the lower part of the main window. In the opened window, the letter o will be added to the application version.

Patch N

Patch N for Kaspersky Internet Security version 18.0.0.405 was released on February 28, 2022.

In patch N, we have fixed an issue with loading of some websites in the browser.

Patch M

Patch M for Kaspersky Internet Security version 18.0.0.405 was released on November 24, 2020.

In patch М we have added a new update script. Now you can switch to the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security when renewing your license.

Patch L

Patch L for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 was released on May 16, 2019.

What's new in Patch L:

• For Windows 10:
  • RS6 (19H1) is now fully supported. You will not experience any compatibility issues after upgrading your operating system. 
  • Protection has been improved by adding the support of the Per-Directory Case Sensitivity component, which allows switching to case-sensitive mode for file and folder paths and file names. This improvement has been introduced in RS5. 
• For Mozilla Firefox:
  • Now, Kaspersky Internet Security will try to install a Kaspersky Lab certificate automatically to the browser storage. This means there will be no more Kaspersky Lab certificate problems when using the browser.
  • Earlier, Mozilla Firefox did not have a green frame when the Protected Browser mode was enabled. This issue has been fixed. 
• Upgrade to a new application version has been made easier: now it only consists of two steps. 
• Now you can switch to a new adaptive protection solution, Kaspersky Security Cloud.
• The Application Control component has been improved: now it can categorize applications and scripts from OneDrive, which improved your security when you are using the cloud. 
• Earlier, the links could have been checked incorrectly in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. This issue has been fixed.
• Kaspersky Internet Security now displays the subscription information correctly after the renewal.
• Some performance issues have been fixed, including the ones submitted by users.

To install patch L:

1. Run the database update in Kaspersky Internet Security. For instructions, see this article.
2. When the update is complete, restart your PC.

The patch will be installed. To check if the patch was installed, open the application and click the Support icon in the lower part of the main window. In the opened window, the letter k will be added to the application version.

Patch K

Patch K for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on October 15, 2018.

In Patch K:

• Support for Windows 10 RS5 has been added.
• Compatibility with Google Chrome has been improved.
• An issue with webcam control on Windows 10 RS4 has been fixed.

Patch J

Patch J for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on August 27, 2018.

Patch J fixes some bugs and improves application performance.

Patch I

Patch I for Kaspersky Internet Security 18 was released on July 16, 2018.

In Patch I:

• Support of Cloud Files in Windows 10 RS3 and RS4 has been added.
• A notification has been added about an issue installing a Kaspersky Lab certificate in Mozilla Firefox if a master password has been set.
• Protection against the deletion and renaming of the klhkum.dll and klfphc.dll files has been added.
• New points have been added to the End User License Agreement.
• The Upgrade window has been updated: options available for the current license have been added.
• The window that appears upon license expiration has been updated: an option to enter an activation code has been added.
• An error has been fixed that caused the icon denoting a secure website not to be displayed in Yandex.Browser, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
• An error launching Mozilla Firefox after updating the Kaspersky Internet Security anti-virus databases and rebooting the computer.
• An error with checking certificates for mail clients and sending messages to an email address has been fixed. This error occurred when the Web Anti-Virus component was enabled.
• An error has been fixed that occurred when making payments using Protected Browser in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox after opening a link in an email from Rabobank.
• An error has been fixed that occurred when opening links from the notification about an unsecure connection in Microsoft Edge.
• An issue has been fixed that caused the Internet connection speed to drop on Windows 10 RS3 (64-bit).

Patch H

Patch H for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on May 4, 2018.

Patch H is installed automatically with the database update for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 and adds the following:

• Possibility of upgrading Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 and 2014 to Kaspersky Internet Security 2018.
• Support of the Windows cumulative update released in January 2018.
• Support for Cloud Files in Windows 10 RS3 and RS4.
• Complete support of Windows 10 RS4.
• Support for the 'Cameras' webcam type.

Patch H also fixes:

• An application update error on 64-bit Windows 10 (build number 10240).
• An issue in which the Kaspersky Protection extension icon was not displayed in the Mozilla Firefox toolbar.
• An error that occurred when loading https pages in the TOR browser.
• An error when the connection between Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Protection extension in Mozilla Firefox.
• An error when Internet Explorer stopped unexpectedly when Kaspersky Internet Security was running.
• An issue using Estonian ID cards in Protected Browser.

Patch G

Patch G for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on February 19, 2018.

Patch G is installed automatically with the database update for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 and fixes:

• An issue loading PayPal and Slimpay online payment system pages.
• An issue obtaining the certificate when establishing a secure connection.
• An issue with using a personal certificate for authentication on websites.
• An error when loading https pages in Firefox 58.0.1.
• Some errors in the application interface.

Patch G also adds support for Windows 10 RS4.

Patch F

Patch F for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on December 27, 2017.

Patch F is installed automatically with the database update of Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 and fixes the following:

• The compatibility issue with the Microsoft Security update released on January 9, 2018.

Patch E

Patch E for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on December 4, 2017.

Patch E is installed automatically with the database update for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 and fixes:

• Issues during the download process that cause the error "files are corrupted".
• Issue with reduced Internet connection speed when Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 is installed.
• Errors 0x80080005 and 0xc8000408 with Windows Update when Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 is installed.
• Issue with Web Anti-Virus when loading certain sites.
• Issue with self-defense of files and the registry in Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 when starting the application for the first time after upgrading to Windows 10.
• Issue loading https pages in the Mozilla Firefox Nightly browser.
• Issue with the application interface.

Patch D

Patch D for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on October 13, 2017.

Patch D is installed automatically with the database update of Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 and fixes the following:

• Browser stopping to respond when Anti-Banner is enabled.
• Error entering data in some fields when using Microsoft Edge.
• Some interface issues. 
• Slow loading of the http://dortex.pl/nowa-strona/website when Web Anti-Virus s enabled.
• Installation error.
• Error occurring if the Safe Browser is opened in Google Chrome.
• Error activating Kaspersky Password Manager.

The patch also adds the support of: 

• Firefox 52.x and later
• Firefox ESR 52.x and later 
• Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Redstone 3)

Firefox versions earlier than 52.x are not supported by Kaspersky Protection.

Patch C

Patch C for Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on August 14, 2017.

Patch C is installed automatically with the database update of Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 version 18.0.0.405 and fixes the following:

• MS Outlook not responding when Anti-Spam is enabled.
• Some interface errors. 
• MS Edge пnot responding when trying to open https pages.
• Returning errors or not responding when managed via the touchscreen running under Windows 10 Creators Update (Redstone 2).

• The patch updates the notification on unsecured Wi-Fi networks. Now the notification specifies the cause of the vulnerability and gives recommendations on eliminating it. 
• Restores the use of Secure Connection in Ukraine.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 was released on July 26, 2017. Full version number is 18.0.0.405.

What’s new in Kaspersky Internet Security 2018

Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 provides the following new features:

• Notifications from Web Anti-Virus regarding pages containing adware or legitimate software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data.
• There is now protection against infection while the operating system is being restarted.
• There is now the capability to navigate from the Licensing window to the My Kaspersky portal to view information about the activation code.
• You can now add a new activation code if the license has expired.
• There is now a user-defined list of domains for which connections are not controlled by the application.

Improvements:

• Improved technology for counteracting the modification of user files by malware, particularly by encryptors.
• Diagnostics of application installation issues have been improved. Now, when there is a problem with application installation, the application saves the installation logs instead of deleting them.
• Application Self-Defense during upgrade to a new version has been improved. Now there is protection for not only the current version but also for the newly installed application prior to it being started for the first time.
• Improved speed for certain installation scenarios, the first startup, and the first update of the application.
• Improved notification that appears if you disable the System Watcher component. The notification now contains a more detailed description of the consequences of disabling the component, especially regarding the resultant lack of protection against encryptors.
• The procedure for displaying notifications has been improved.
• The application now waits a longer amount of time before displaying a notification about outdated databases and application modules when the computer wakes from sleep mode.

Main known issues:

• If the Always scan encrypted connections check box is selected, the application will scan encrypted connections even if you have paused protection.
• If the application was installed together with Kaspersky Password Manager and its active plug-in, the Internet Explorer browser does not display the On-Screen Keyboard quick launch icon in the login and password fields. You can open the On-Screen Keyboard by pressing the key combination CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+P.
• If the application was installed over one of the previous versions, part of the managed applications may disappear from the list in Parental Control settings.
• After you enable the Anti-Banner component, banners on pages that are already opened in your browser are not blocked until you refresh the pages.
• If the application was installed in Windows 7 and you upgraded the operating system to Windows 10 but now want to revert back to Windows 7, you are advised to uninstall the application and install it again after reverting back to Windows 7.
• On certain websites, the application may block the download of additional pages in pop-up windows or frames. To resolve this issue, clear the Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages check box in the network settings of the application.
• If the application was installed on one of the previous versions, Trusted Applications mode is disabled by default even if it was enabled in the previous version.
• If interactive protection is disabled, tasks for processing threats on your computer from the My Kaspersky portal might not be performed.
• Certain types of objects from the category Legitimate software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data are not processed from the My Kaspersky portal. These threats must be processed on the computer.
• If Microsoft Edge cannot switch to Protected Browser mode, the application starts a different browser installed on your computer in this mode.
