Actions to perform after removing Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server

After removal of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server, the server may retain some data such as the application settings database, messages in Backup, executable service files, man page files (reference pages), database updates, generated reports, application log files, and sockets that were created and used by the application.

Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server includes scripts that delete the files and folders remaining after program removal.

To delete data that remains when the program is removed:

  1. Enter the following command:
    • for Linux:

      # /var/opt/kaspersky/klms/cleanup.sh

    • for FreeBSD:

      # /var/db/kaspersky/klms/cleanup.sh

  2. Enter yes to confirm deletion of the data remaining after removal of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server.
