How to change the password for the web interface of Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server

This article concerns Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server Maintenance Pack 3 (version 8.0.3.30).
 
 
 
 

You must set a password to access the application's web interface. You cannot sign into the web interface without the password.

To change the password for the web interface of Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server:

  1. Run the following command:

/opt/kaspersky/klms/bin/klms-control --set-web-admin-password

  1. Enter a new password for the Administrator account. The password must comprise at least eight characters and meet at least three of the following criteria:
    • Contain at least one uppercase character
    • Contain at least one lowercase character
    • Contain at least one special character
    • Contain at least one digit
  2. Confirm the new password.
  3. Press Enter on the keyboard.
The password will be changed.
